Parking and Climate – Changing the Conversation

A Green Drinks Event

When: Tuesday, November 5th, 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Where: The Celtic Knot, 626 Church St., Evanston

Evanston, along with other progressive cities, understands the role of parking in climate change and is trying to reduce the impact of private automobiles on greenhouse-gas emissions. However, many Evanston residents have raised objections to proposed parking changes, such as increased parking fees, that would lower car traffic in the city. Join Vickie Jacobsen of Go Evanston and others for a discussion of the cost and consequences of “free” parking. How can we move from “Where do I park my car?” to “How do I get there?”  Come have something to eat and drink and join the conversation!
